Goal setting is a pretty big deal in my family and since I couldn't find anything that included all of my areas of interest I decided to create my own sheets. I hope that this helps you as well. No matter what time of the year you find this post it's still ok to use it because it is not just based on yearly but 6 month and 90 day goals as well.
Many self help and self development mentors like Anthony Robins, Darren Hardy (The Compound Effect) and Brian Tracy will tell you that a goal is not really a goal until you have it in writing. This is a great step because it allows you to remind yourself what you are looking to accomplish and check to see if you need to work harder or maybe make some adjustments.
We are creatures of habit and we can become quite complacent if we are not striving for a new goal. Goals keep you focused on an agenda and make you accountable for your actions. Kind of a way to keep you in check of yourself.
Does that mean that you have to strive to make a million dollars by the end of the year. Of course not!!!! Not everyone of us is striving in life for the same things and that is so o.k. I see goals like I see my workout, I am always looking to push myself a little harder in order to become stronger and healthier.
So when you set your goals strive for more than what you have right now. If you are content in one area of life and you don't want to achieve more that is totally fine. It's all up to you.
