One of the best home remedies for Nausea is hands down GINGER. And I would say that a second great home remedy would be peppermint. There is noting like using the real deal. For me it's about freshness, I can literally go to the store and pick out fresh ginger that I not only use for making a remedy but I also use it in my cooking. Fresh is always better if you can. And as for the peppermint what a great starter plant for your own little herbal garden.
This was true for me when I was pregnant for my third child (I didn't get sick for the first two). But also for those times where me or one of my family members feel that "feeling" coming. This doesn't happen very often because I am a true believer of prevention and eating a large portion of our diet with real nourishing foods but every now and then it does come along.

The most effective way I have found it to work is to make a fresh ginger tea which is quite simple:
You could also purchase ginger tea at your local grocery store. A great brand is Traditional Medicines. Using a tea pot is great because it has an infuser built inside that is easier to use when you are brewing fresh or loose herbs. There is a great selection at World Market.
Peppermint Tea Recipe
This is a tea that really doesn't need any sweetener added. But if you feel the need to do so add some honey since it has it's own healing benefits. Traditional Medicines has a great peppermint tea.
