Superfoods are foods that are at the top of their category in nutrients (vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, polysaccharides, amino acids, protein).
Why Should I eat Superfoods?
Superfoods list for you to consider:
Unfortunately, the foods that are a part of our society today have taken a hard beating. The agriculture industry has done a very poor job keeping nutrients in our foods due to many factors. The first one is the soil. The food that is grown is only as good as the soil it comes from. The soil is depleted of naturally occurring minerals becuase it is being treated with chemically altered minerals instead of what is given to us by nature. So when your soil has little to no minerals, your food has little to no minerals. Then they decide that they have to spray the crops to keep the bugs away. This is a survival of the fittest scenario. The reason the bugs are there in the first place is to get rid of a weaker species. This is their job, only the strong are supposed to survive. But they have figured out a way to keep the low grade food alive. Then the food is picked before it is ripe. The reason they do this is because it has to travel a long distance to get to its destination, so there is even a lower percentage of vital nutrients. Or the food stuff is taken and added as a primary ingredient in an end packaged product that has ingredients that you cannot even understand or pronounce. It has been stripped down to nothing and rebuilt as foreign objects that our bodies have a very hard time understanding what to do with it, because it is not in its natural state .
But things are changing, by EATING SUPERFOODS you are taking charge of yourself and your choices in what you feed your body and actually giving yourself food with more nutrition in it then some people eat in a week's time.
