Who are you kidding to think that what you eat has no effect on your internal environment? Deep down inside you know what the right things to eat for you are, we have just been disillusioned by the companies that make fortunes off of our lack of education and personal responsibilities for ourselves. I am not here to cookie coat the most important subject of all……… your temple, the only thing that you came to this earth with, your human body. It is time for us to take responsibility for our personal choices and food choices are a good place to start. What I have discovered over the years is that no matter how good you may look on the outside, a large portion of us are not as pretty on the inside but the good news is that our bodies are intelligent and we are always able to make improvements at any point in the game that will make a dramatic impact on the vitality, radiance and the energy that we feel on a daily basis. If you were to look at the definition of food it would show you that it is for the purpose of nourishment and growth and repair of cells, most people today eat for entertainment, habit, addiction, or depression. This site is based on what I have learned and experimented with over the past 20 years. It has helped me tremendously and I hope it will point you in the direction of RADIANT health as well.
Whats More Important Nutrient Density or Calories?
It’s time to say bye-bye to the old antiquated style in regards to looking your best. Counting calories is not the answer, nutrient density is. The best way to feel satisfied with what you are eating is to make sure that your foods are high in nutrients. There are many new discoveries being made in regards to nutrients including the massive amounts of phytonutrients found in natural fruits and vegetables, and the reason why we sometimes eat more than we should is because our bodies are crying for the proper food(nutrition). When proper nutrition is incorporated into your life you have a feeling of satisfaction and no need to keep consuming large quantities, because your body has received the nutrition it is looking for.
You Get What You Pay For Organics vs. Conventional
Buyer Beware….even when you do start consuming more natural foods you will still eventually have to continue to evolve or just go straight for the high quality top octane for your lean mean body machine. Conventional produce is mostly void of many of the nutrients that our bodies require to keep it running at top levels. The soil is depleted of natural nutrients and has to be chemically altered in order to produce massive quantities to feed the population. This leads to chemicals that are consumed by our bodies. If our bodies can’t quite figure out what to do, it will not be properly disposed of by elimination and our bodies will store it in our tissues and fat cells as a means of protection. We are being bombarded on a daily basis and we must take the necessary measure of keeping the body protected from such harmful poisons in what ever way possible. But where does that leave you? A better alternative in regards to eating is organic produce or superfoods, the price is higher but there is more nutrition to be absorbed. You know that a fruit or vegetable is organic when it has a #9 on the front of the sticker. Just remember you will either be paying for it now or you will pay for it later, through doctor bills. Another great option is to go to your local farmer’s market or visit a real farm. You are not only supporting your local business man you are also getting higher quality food. Normally these items are picked much closer to the time that they are ripe because they do not have to travel thousands of miles to get to the grocery store. You can also establish a relationship from the person that has grown the food for you so that you can ask questions and you know exactly what you are getting.
A few things to remember when shopping for organic foods. Just because it is organic does not mean that it is automatically good for you a good example would be cookies, do you really think just because it is organic that makes is o.k. to eat? Also the United States does not check how other countries go through their organic certification process. My recommendation is to purchase organic products made in the USA whenever possible, unless you know your source is a reputable one. Read the labels in the store, and make sure that you see that is was made in the USA not just packaged in the USA. An item can be shipped from another country and then they just pack it here. What Does Your Body Absorb?
Speaking of absorbed some of our bodies don’t do this job very well because of all of the years of abuse that it has had to endure. It has been said that all dis-ease begins in the colon. This means that it’s time to clean house and this is known today as a detox. This is a very important area to consider but remember by eating more fruits (cleansers) and vegetables (builders) you will start to see this problem over time diminish or disappear altogether.
